Meems: The article says it's common in dance music, but symphonic metal has quite a bit of this as well (Nightwish and Within Temptation are two examples).

Nornagest: Except for a few tracks (like "Beauty and the Beast") Nightwish is mostly just the soprano half of this equation. You're right about Within Temptation, though, and it's also true for several other bands of a similar description (Sirenia, Tristania, and so forth).

Meems: I don't know, Nightwish has added a lot more gravel since they got a new soprano singer... You're right in that there's still more soprano than gravel, though, even if it's not entirely one sided.

Nornagest: Fair enough. I haven't listened to much Nightwish since they replaced Tarja.
