blackcat Moving this here because I don't think that it really fits.
- Harry Potter himself may fit, growing up among Muggles puts him in a very different position than the rest of Hogwarts.
- Muggle-borns in general. Dean, Harry and Hermione, three out of eight in Harry's year would probably count. Harry gets extra-special attention for being the "Chosen One" and all that.
- Harry also subverts it - he's richer than most of his friends (perhaps not Hermione - dentists make a decent bit of cash and BOTH her parents were dentists), AND is from one of the long-standing families in the culture (though his status as a Halfblood does drop his standings among the snooties - as far as Purebloods are concerned, a Muggleborn may as well be a Muggle for blood status concerns).
