Consider the following amusing in light of later events...

Adonic Meki: Are there any examples of this besides Digimon? I like the trope name, but if it's just in one series, it's not really a trope.

Looney Toons: I've been wracking my brains for anything I've seen that might also qualify, to no avail.

Andyzero: See any video game by Square. Tidus from Final Fantasy X and Sora from Kingdom Hearts comes to mind.

Looney Toons: Yeah, but these aren't TV shows. This isn't the video game trope wiki.

Andyzero: I know, I include stuff like that too much, it's hard because anime and video game concepts tend to overlap, both being storytelling by the Japanese.

Seth: I'm assuming this discussion happened a while ago (Because we most certainly are a video game wiki now :D) so i'm gonna delete this discussion.

Morgan Wick: But it's funny now! (And in fact this conversation may well be the seeding of the germ that led to becoming the video game trope wiki. And you could have found out just how old it was by looking in the page history, which you stomped all over by editing...)

Seth: The page history was already blank, it does that over time regardless of how many edits have happened.

Morgan Wick: Either that's a new development or this debate was REALLY old, because I've managed to recover some very very old histories...

Seth: October? That's not that old. And to prove that me posting wouldn't have erased them here is a really long history. Ive been posting here since August and most of my edits are still in histories somewhere.

Morgan Wick: Wait, do history entries get deleted or don't they? The "really long history" you refer to only goes back one month, consistent with my experience, while I note on Lumper Vs Splitter Discussion that the first edit on the page, which I caught (before Gus edited it later, thus tossing it) was so old, it had to date to the birth of the wiki. ("Recover" was the wrong word, what I meant was to provide a summary of how old it was and who edited it in its heyday and how on the discussion page.) I'd like to see one of your edits still hanging in a history that hasn't been edited since one month after your edit.

At any rate, we're splitting hairs on an irrelevant issue here. Probably what happened here was some random system glitch at some point...

Seth: I'm just curious

Ununnilium: History entries do get deleted eventually. However, you really shouldn't be taking stuff other people said off a discussion page, wether or not it's relevant now.

Samperi: The Belgarath thing looks like it's talking about something else entirely. I think it should be removed.

Rebochan: Is there really a reason this exists except so people can bash characters they don't like? The intro even has to admit that the only difference between this an Impossibly Cool Clothes is the troper's personal opinion. Why not just merge with Impossibly Cool Clothes?
