Removed from Boondocks:

  • Actually, it's probably based more on the fact that Reaganomics his black people very, very hard, mostly due to the race separation was even more in sync with the class separation in those days.

This is an irresponsible and gross over-generalization. One might counter-argue that welfare reform enacted by the previous Carter administration (amongst others) encouraged the breakup of black families by paying single black mothers more than ones who were married. Please try to avoid partisan talking points and stick to the facts.

Jordan: Granted, I haven't read much about Reagan's participation in blacklisting, but the article as written seems to put a very favorable spin on it. Also, I admit to not knowing about Herb Sorrell, but from the article on The Other Wiki, it doesn't seem like the "funded by Russian Communists" thing is completely agreed upon as historical fact.

Removed from the intro: (nearly bankrupting the country in the process, but the USSR went first)

Every president since Reagan including Obama has increased the national debt (except, arguably, Clinton) and the country is not "bankrupt" yet. Additionally, the national debt as measured as a percentage of GDP was much higher in the years following WWII during the administration of FDR.

The Loris: Dude, FDR died before WWII was over. You must mean Harry S Truman.

Fanra: The whole black people thing is more Reaganomics. He gutted, and I mean gutted, the social safety net in the U.S.A. Since a larger percent of the poor are black, it seemed to many people like a war on black people. He most likely had no racism in him, but was pretty clueless about poverty. He famously said that no one goes hungry in America.
