  • No matter how much some would like it to be so, being wealthy and spending lots of money does not qualify as evil.
    • It does make people perceive them as such though, the teams with the most money are often the most resented ones.

Most Opposing Sports Team are not evil, unless they are doing some kind of spoof like Shaolin Soccer. The part that makes the Yankees a real life version is that by taking advantage of the lack of a salary cap, they can make a ton of mistakes that would cripple a lesser team. An example is Jason Giambi who has basically been an embarrassment to the team, and would cripple the ability to compete of a lot of teams. Also they fit with the soul less regime definition, just compare the current Yankees to the Yankees of the late 90's.

Mystyc: I deleted a few of the responses about the 2007 Patriots. They looked like they were Justifying Edits for things that had since been edited out of the original entry.

Aren't most of the real life examples just complaining about teams you don't like?

White Rose Duelist: Pretty much. I would be happy if all of those examples were killed with fire.
