Shire Nomad: This needs a paragraph for Twelve too, but I don't have the knowledge to explain its deeper meanings; I just know it shows up a lot. Someone want to take this one?

32_Footsteps: That's one of the numbers I'm less clear on. Give me time to research it, and I can handle it. I figure that I probably should also write up Twenty-Three, since in modern days, it's a popular number for various kooky theories (it pops up regularly in the Illuminatus! trilogy, not to mention that Jim Carrey thriller a year or so ago).

Sniffnoy: And of course 17 goes along with 23 in those cases. Also: do people think perfect numbers and amicable numbers are worth a mention? I don't think I've seen them in current media, but I think they were pretty important back when numerology was actually taken seriously.

Sci Vo: That sounds interesting, and we're by no means limited to current media.

32_Footsteps: I took out the following paragraph:

The truth, however, is that thirteen was actually never an unlucky number until the Christian faith came along and included it in its list of other things about those wacky Pagans they wanted to change. Since thirteen had significance and association with female deities and nature, it had to go. Hence the unluckiness.

I removed that because the negative connotations to the number 13 are much older than Christianity - the first well-known instance of the belief that 13 was an unlucky number is the height of the Classical era in Greece, well over 700 years BCE. I know it's popular to blame everything on Christianity, but 13 got it's rep well before Jesus was even born, let alone the religion he inspired took root.

Phoenix Fire: We need a section for series with very significant number motifs; otherwise, say, Dragaera is never going to be mentioned, since the motif is from an alien culture. Plus we need a page on 7, just because it's so common.
