Working Title: Railroad Archetecture: From YKTTW
Danel: Spore's certainly much shallower than it would like to think, but it is no possible sense an example of this trope, and claiming it is widens the meaning of this trope to the point of madness. I'm a little dubious about the Bioshock example, as well - there's an awful lot of backtracking and optional side areas involved. If this example just means "You're trying to get somewhere, doing things along the way"... well, I'm not sure that there are many games it doesn't apply to.
Mman: I agree about Bio Shock, and I've removed it because it's a very loose example and a bit of slippery slope (as you've suggested)
