Working Title: Mega Conglomo Corp: From YKTTW

—- Norm: I'm gonna take off the 1984 example because it's not right, at all. Victory wasn't a brand name, it was an adjective. Victory <BLANK> was Newspeak\short-hand for "<BLANK> that is completely crappy because making it better would draw rescources from the war effort", a meaning the word had taken on in real-life britain during both of the world wars

Gambrinus: I took off Citi Group and Microsoft from the Real Life section. Sure, both are big, but you could still identify what industries they're focused on. Let's try to keep that section from becoming Complaining About Companies You Dont Like, ok?

Nornagest: Removed Wal-Mart for the same reason. Disney, however, is a legitimate example.

I'm having a little trouble thinking of RL examples; Siemens AG probably qualifies, and the Virgin Group has the diversification if not the market dominance. I'll leave it to others to flesh out the example list, though.

Speaking as a die-hard Sid Meiers Alpha Centauri fan, I think that the CEO Morgan quote is absolutely perfect!

I seem to recall a "Mega Corp" in Mighty Max. Featured in both episodes where Cyberskull was the villain.
