Looney Toons: Since it's no longer Bamboo Pole Truck or whatever it was originally named, the line about Bamboo Technology no longer made sense, and I nuked it.

Zomo: I'm new to this wiki but I can't help but to think not only this entry is listed out of order in the Tropes listing, it really should be a cultural note instead? Loudspeaker trucks are not uncommon in Asia generally. Lots of those during election season especially... To me it just seems odd; you wouldn't have "traffic noise" as a Troupe because in a moment of silence you can hear it...

Ununnilium: It's not just the truck, it's the very specific combination used in anime of the frozen moment of silence and the truck going by. Mind you, it could probably fit in cultural tropes as well.

Gus: Nice observation, Zomo. The very thing that makes a trope is the expectation of its presence. If, for example, there was a quite moment in an urban setting that did not have traffic noise, the effect would be emphatic. You might want to do such a thing to show that a character was taken aback by the preceding line. The Loudspeaker Truck trope is remarking that this kind of emphasis is often punctuated by the silence being broken in this way.

Fanra: For some reason this was made into an anime only trope, yet there are plenty of non anime examples. Therefore, I'm changing the description to include all Loudspeaker Truck.

Dark Sasami: Took out all the examples that were examples of trucks with loudspeakers on, rather than actual examples of the trope. That includes the picture. Also that includes all non-anime exmaples, except possibly the Floyd reference. I haven't heard the song; if the sound appears during a lull, it might count.
