arromdee: X-Man is from the Age of Apocalypse alternate reality, not from the future. Also, the other two don't really fit either, though I didn't delete them. Cable wasn't revealed to be the child from the present until after the child had been born, so it doesn't really fit the trope--none of this characters haven't been married, destiny, etc. stuff. Rachel is from an alternate future that had already diverged.
Scifantasy: Two brief edits I feel worth justifying. (No, not a Justifying Edit.) First, despite Narbon family naming conventions, Helen's kid is not named Gamma, according to the cartoonist; second, I can't see why Bobby Walkerton is a parody of the trope. He's an example.
Shazzbaa: Wait...wouldn't Meet The Robinsons actually be the inversion of this trope, all things considered? And...would it be too spoilery to elaborate?
I thought Impulse was a Flash's grandson.
- He's (Silver Age Flash) Barry Allen's grandson, (Current Flash) Wally West's second cousin.
Freezer: Removed the second entry for GPF's Todd.
