Paul A: In the "Symphony in Slang" example, I've taken out the descriptions of how the slang was literally interpreted because:
- It doesn't add anything except redundant clutter, since the literal interpretations are already obvious from the expressions themselves.
- It strikes me as over-explaining the joke. (Let the reader do some of the work, mmkay?)

- Erudite, you say? Golly! It's parodying the way that translators often have to find similar proverbs among lanuages. They obviously aren't quoting Ben Franklin there.
- They <i>are</i> still speaking English... I can understand a lot of what they're saying. ^ is right. It's not erudite. :D
