Working Title: "The Boy" / "Hey Homer": From YKTTW

Earnest: My search fu is weak. Anyone know what the japanese "different ways of saying you" article is called?

movie007: Removed this one:

  • Bill calling his stepmother "Missy" in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
Actually, Missy is the first name of Bill's stepmother. It even says "Missy" on her licence plate.

Air Of Mystery: Yes, but she did want him to call her 'mom'. Anyway, has anyone else been bored enough to notice that "Hey You" with the sounds reversed is similar to "Ho Yay"?

Zeke: Oh, for God's sake...
* During their second presidential debate, John McCain referred to Barack Obama as "that one," complete with pointer finger. Although Obama responded graciously, the press did not miss the implied insult.
That's because the press created the implied insult by leaving out the context. Obama's side had been trying for a while to paint McCain as a Bush clone. So McCain brought up an energy bill sponsored by Bush and Cheney. "You know who voted for it? You might never know — that one." As in, that one of the candidates, not this one. Bad way to phrase it, sure, but clearly not some contemptuous refusal to say Obama's name. It was the dumbest manufactured controversy of the whole election, and that's saying a lot.
