Discussion leading up to rename from I Am Kirok
I have an example in mind to add, but am unsure that it fits; would someone please advise me on this? The character is introduced in a pastoral setting, and discovers that he has amnesia. He then sets out into the wide beyond to discover who he is. In this case I don't think that the cause of the amnesia is known, and no-one comes to get him (he is instead prompted by what appear to be memories surfacing as dreams).
The main points that cause uncertainty for me, I think are the following: 1) No knock on the head (yet revealed, at least) that I'm aware of 2) No-one coming to get him (although the dreams seem to me to serve the same function). 3) The character is introduced in the amnesiac state, and so the situation seems to me to lack the effect described of seeing a previously-impressive character in a mundane setting.
