(To Seanzo, this sounds more like a reference to the original Cat People film, where pet shop denizens react thusly to leopard lady Irena. Not so much a reaction to evil as to a large predator -- and if Death isn't a predator, who is? You can't exactly call Him evil.)

- In Avatar The Last Airbender, Bosco (the Earth King's pet bear) isn't afraid of the Avatar and his gang, so the Earth King allows the Avatar to state his business.
- Subverted/Averted in later episodes where Bosco is just as unphased by the real bad guys, Azula and her friends disguised as Kyoshi warriors. Bosco must just be pretty mellow.
- Recall that Long Feng did not even show up on Bosco's radar either. To be fair the guy was quite interested in keeping the Earth King comfortable and

The bear is just lazy and trusts everyone. Only the king thinks its "instincts" are reliable.
