Hammer Weapons launched as Drop The Hammer Discussion: From YKTTW

Working Title: Hammer Weapons: From YKTTW

Laevatein: Does anyone have a pic of the Goldion Crusher? It would be great to have here.

Caphi: Here's one. Make sure to put a local copy somewhere - I dunno where this wiki keeps its images. I think the Hammer might be better here, though, just to show scale. Also, that Crusher isn't expanded, and showing the expanded Crusher would definitely not show scale (Genesic's all but invisible against the full shot of it). Speaking of the Crusher, though, wherever did FINAL claim that the gravity shockwave would tear apart the galaxy? From what I remember, the destruction of the Pas-Q Machine restored the absorbed dark matter to the Universe.

Tabby: I didn't even like Dr Horribles Sing Along Blog, and I'm still tempted to make a "Captain Hammer" joke here.

The Grim Sleeper: oh yeah, well you can just: Stop! Hammertime!

Jisu: Removed re: Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha:
  • For it to be even proportionally as big as the Crusher, it would have to be the size of a very large building. It's the relative size of a truck before it expands.
...because it is.

1114: The bit about clerics and such using hammers in order to "not spill the blood" is incorrect, though a common rumor. I have no idea where the rumor/idea started, but it has been spread everywhere and is the commonly accepted explanation these days, especially for fantasy games. In truth, knights and various traveling ministers during the middle ages used hammers for their symbolism, such as used when judging someone much like a judge has a gavel today. However, the "no spilling blood" idea is so common nowadays I don't know if it should be removed, left where it is, or just explained away.

Phartman: 'Specially since getting smacked in the head with a hammer will definitely cause a fair bit of bleeding.

Softspoken: Went ahead and put 1114's explanation of the symbolism in the body. I found it interesting.
