The Jackal: I think this is a valid trope. It really, really needs a better description, but the idea behind it's fair enough. Hatedoms have their nicknames too and it would make no sense to list them under Fan Nickname, just as it would make no sense to list examples of Fan Disservice under Fanservice, for example. And it's certainly no more complaining than the main Hatedom article - if you cut this, you may as well cut that too, as they're both objective accounts of negative fan reactions.

Rebochan: Right, but Hatedom stands on its own because its not, say, "Fandom but worse". I submitted this because we already have Fan Nickname, so "Fan Nickname but bad" doesn't make sense - the negative nicknames could easily be merged there, especially since Fan Nickname already has them. It's also an excuse for just Complaining About Shows You Dont Like, which is definitely not encouraged.
Anonymous Mc Cartneyfan: Litmus test: would a fan of the work use that proposed nickname? We can cut down Detractor Nickname without cutting it out. Some of the Harry Potter detractor nicknames might get used by fans as well; but only the anti-fans would call any of the Inheritance Trilogy a colored "brick." (That is, if the official fandom has banned the nickname, it isn't a fan nickname.)
The Jackal: The way I see it, this is to Hatedom what Fan Nickname is to fandom in general, which in my opinion is a separate trope. And by that logic, you could call Hatedom fandom, but bad. Besides, while I see this could be used for Complaining About Shows You Dont Like (especially if it gets Troper Tales), there are tropes that are way more complainy than this and are in no danger of being cut. What's different about this one?
