Okay, the characters are quite different, but in terms of their role... Rupert Galvin = Rupert Giles? That's gotta be a Shout-Out, right?
Silent Hunter: Probably, yes.
The last episode opens with the heroes pulling guns on a clown in a crowded street. There have to be tropes related to this. Tropes that don't say good things about the producers.
The Gunheart: But who doesn't want to gun down clowns in the street? I'd say it's just human nature.
