Working Title: Cybernetic Cyclops: From YKTTW
Uknown Troper: Would cyclopean face plates for cyborgs and other types of organics count under this trope too? I can mention at least two off the top of my head: Cyclops from X-Men (obviously) and Othar Tryggvassen (Gentleman Adventurer!) from Girl Genius.
Earnest: I'm inclined to say no, the trope is about evil-looking (if not outright evil) mechanical or part mechanical creatures. Heroes with a one-piece visor would be a subversion of this, and even then they'd have to be androids/cyborgs who can't remove said eye.
- Most people who aren't suicide bombers aren't that loyal to anything. And those that are can usually shut up about it for five minutes.
Real Slim Shadowen: Bahleeted for stupid, pointless, and worst of all inaccurate natter.
- The red eye in the teaser art is, indeed, Shockwave's.
- Ravage is apparently monocular in the sequel.
Real Slim Shadowen: The first is taken out because I rewrote the example it springs from, as The Reveal has been made. The second is taken out because the movie's already out and Ravage featured prominently in some of the ads, and the example's already in Film.
