Actually, there was a reason (diagetically, anyhow): at the time, everyone on the Avengers started wearing identical jackets as a team identity thing. Fan-4 envy, I guess. (Of course, this still may not be "a good one", but it is slightly more defensible than "it just looks cool!")

Kendra Kirai: Yes, but it's not a very good excuse. :)

Nevrmore: Yeah, but I'll give you three guesses as to why the Avengers suddenly got the urge to where jackets.
