From YKTTW Working Title: Fighting Cook

Jack Butler: Excuse this attempt by a third party to head off an edit war, but Iron Chef is not a trope... its a show. There is no such thing as an "Iron Chef" that can be applied to the real world, because all it means is "a chef who works for the producers of the show, Iron Chef".

I'm a chef... trust me on this one.

Elle: Please, I don't want to get in an edit war over this *cof*Dragon Quest Z*cof*. I'm well aware Iron Chef is not a trope, but the name and the description directly reference Iron Chef and the reference to them is humor. I neglected to address it before I launched the YKTTW cause people were clammoring Just Launch It Allready, but I tried to re-edit it in a manner that would be a compromise (because Supreme Chef is the correct trope but the Iron Chef reference has its place) and DQZ reverted it.

Dragon Quest Z: I didn't revert. I deleted it those other times because it didn't fit. They didn't reference the show. This link does, by potholing the quote from it, so it works this time.

Elle: I still think the first attempt at reconciliation I did would have worked fine, but I'll settle for how it is now. (My understanding is that this wiki doesn't have a Wikipedia-style revert button so "delete to undo last change" is the same as "revert" here but I might be misinformed.) The 'mythos' of the Iron Chef is a work of fiction and is probably popularized enough that Supreme Chef could be called Iron Chef if not for the obvious problem that then the title name is taken and would be confusing. There were people who wanted to name this page "The Iron Chef", which is obviously bad for the same reason.
