Working Title: Can\'t Get In Trouble For Nuthin\': From YKTTW

R Taco: Might wanna make the definition clearer, since I'm seeing a lot of examples that should be in Springtime for Hitler.

Nezumi: And I'm seeing several where they're actually successful at getting the other person in trouble for the first type.

Bryn: Removed this from the main page. It can probably find a home in Troper Tales if anyone wants to make one...

  • This Troper Brought 2 Death Notes (one of which making it look like this troper was in the IRA), a knife and put extremely insulting graffiti on his hands, all at school. This troper was not even given out to. This troper hasn't killed anyone and isn't in the IRA but still...

Kilyle: Um, if this trope is "seeks to get into trouble but fails" and "seeks to get Bob in trouble but fails" then I'm seeing an awful lot of examples on the page that fail to meet the definition of the trope:

  • Cartman seeks to get into trouble and succeeds - it just doesn't help him in the long run.
  • Bun-bun seeks to avoid getting in trouble and get Torg in trouble and succeeds since the police seek out Torg instead (later Torg does this against Bun-bun, again succeeding).

These aren't examples of "Dang it, I want to get in trouble but for some reason I just can't pull it off" and therefore belong to a different trope, not this one.
