adam850: Shippo from IY, maybe? Usually needs to be saved and always talking big.

Big T: Yeah, but he's pretty much universally liked (at least on the show). Maybe he plays with this trope, but he doesn't quite fit it.

MasterKnight: Naruto Uzumaki deserves expansion of his part. I know, I'm the one who added him onto the list. But he does have his share of successes.

Big T: Where's the Trope Maker? My only acquaintance with the term half-pint used to refer to a person is the TV version of Little House On The Prarie. But the only bratty person on that show, Nellie Oleson, was never referred to as such. Maybe I'm just being too picky...

SirPsychoSexy: What about Amanuma/Game Master from Yu Yu Hakusho? Does he fit? He's really arrogant and mouthy, the youngest member of the Seven...and he ends up losing to Team Urameshi in one of the games he controls, thereby dying. Koenma brings him back to life with the Mafuukan...does this go with the "needing to be saved" part?

fatcerberus1: 1-Up of Stinkoman from homestarrunner.com fame, anyone? "I wanna be the guy, too!" And who could forget Level 4 of Stinkoman 20X6, where 1-Up goes off into the lava zone and Stinkoman has to save him? I'd say 1-Up fits this trope to a T.

Alstar: Ed from Fullmetal Alchemist doesn't apply to this trope since a) he's mature, a lot more than a boy of his age is expected; b) even his "berserk button" is not about being a kid, but of him being short. For now I'll just add a note at the bottom, if nobody changes/add something about it or answer this discussion entry, I'm going to delete it.
