lostlibrarian: Death note entry on misa seems out of place. This trope is never invoked by the author and the character in question is too complicated to fall into such a simple archetype. Also, the justifying comments attached to it are really irritating and tedious. I'm going to go ahead and delete it.
I'd really like to make a comment on the reason we see this trope. It's because life is unfair enough when the pretty person is dumb (They still get listened too more than smart people do). Smart pretty people just make the rest of us want to kill ourselves sometimes.
