Cryptic Mirror: As a complete aside, a fun game in some schools is teaching awareness of metaphors and how full of them English is by challenging children to get through a lesson (sometimes a day, or a week if you are feeling ambitious) without using any metaphors or figures of speech. Go on, give it a try. It should be a piece of cake.
