Train ends up being an Expy of Kenshin because both are former assassins for shadowy organizations that abandoned their old way of life because of interactions with a woman. Said woman later dying, which each character holds themselves in part responsible for. They try to move on, becoming a much sillier sort of person with extreme doses of Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass and forever dealing with their pasts trying to catch up with them. Their pasts end up constantly trying to catch up with them as they try to live their new lives. And they each have a distinguishing mark on their bodies that is almost emblematic of each (Kenshin's X scar, Train's XIII tattoo).
There's a bit better argument for Sven/Jet Black - however, quite a bit of influence from Kakashi is there (particularly everything related to their respective Eyepatches Of Power.
