Daibhid C: I'm not sure how the second Hamish & Dougal example (the chestnuts one) is an example. It doesn't look like they were leading to a joke, and then didn't use it; it looks like they were leading to a Double Entendre and then did use it.

- In a flash movie on Newgrounds, called The Decline of Videogaming, one of the characters, Tom, dies once in the second video by being hit with a fire spell, and once in the Christmas video by falling into the fireplace after being stuck in the chimney. The Decline of Videogaming 3, which was made after the Christmas episode, features Tom avoiding all sorts of fire hazards until the end, where he rockets out of the room to avoid being hit with another fire spell. Of course, just like Kenny in South Park, who dies during the credits in the Christmas episode, Tom is purposely doused in gasoline and tied up while the main characters purposely set him on fire just to watch him burn (which is apparently better than playing some videogames.)

- In another episode, mobster Fat Tony sends a rival's car out of control. The car crashes into a baking soda truck. Then a vinegar truck drives in and crashes. The mobsters's car fills up with foam, and the mobsters even comment that it's not that bad. Then a TNT truck crashes into everything and blows it up.
