Bluetooth The Pirate: I'ma put this right here so no one else comes along and natters it in: "anchors away" is not an actual phrase. Anchors aweigh, as in to "weigh anchor", means to lift/raise it. I don't know if the writer of this trope was using it wrong on purpose as a pun or just never learned it right like so many other landlubbers, but there you go.
