- Wasn't Rei-ginsei not even IN the first movie? His talent was given to the werewolf servant of Magnus Lee and his character was cut out entirely.
Sage Allen: When was D ever referred to as "Alucard" at any point in the animes? Was this something that came from the books?
- Knight Random: I'm reading the books right now, and as far as I can tell, no. Although there is a definite family resemblance to Hellsing's Alucard. Google seems to back me up on this. I'll fix it as soon as I've gotten some sleep. (Is it really past midnight? I must be turning into a Noble myself!)
In the article, is says that there is no indication that B can love until the second movie, Bloodlust. I seem to recall a scene in the original Vampire Hunter D movie where Doris invites D to put the bite on her, and not only does he NOT succumb, he hugs her once the moment of temptation passes. This to me would be a indication of, if not love, that he is capable of caring for another.
- Why did Rei-ginsei rescue Dan towards the end of the movie? He never used him as bait or performed a Heel–Face Turn, so it felt completely random for him to do it.
