Prfnoff: Separating out references to the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Thank you for fleshing that out! I remember catching the first broadcast of an episode on PBS in something like 1973, and talking about it so very excitedly in Drama Club the next day. It really was not like anything that we'd ever seen before — of course we didn't know of Beyond the Fringe or the other exemplars of British comedy that had come before them. For the sheet absurdity, and uncompromising Britishness of the writing, it was like a breath of fresh air to us.

Branfish: It says there have been five Monty Python films, but I can only think of four (and only four are listed in the list of films). What did the editor think counted as the fifth?

Monty Pythons Flying Circus

Seth: The flying circus was a series not a film. A lot of people tend to be mistaken and think that films like eric the viking that use a lot of pythons are MP works, when in actuality thy are from separate groups. I think that number is wrong, unless someone with more information steps forward.

Those four are the only i know of.

Looney Toons: Monty Python Live at the Hollywood Bowl

Looney Toons: Deleted

The show was almost screwed over by the network, almost not making past the halfway point of season 1 until a PBS station in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas picked it up the first season. Upon seeing how well it was doing, the BBC gave it a real timeslot, and proper advertising. The rest is history.

because it's repetitive, and positioned where it was, it made no sense and broke up the flow of the article.
