Simba’s daughter is in the movie, though.
Same name too.
But yeah, Sonic 3 will be taking a bite out of this one’s box office.
The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.True but people have been asking for a Simba's Pride remake since it would be justified considering it's limitations as a direct to video sequel.
It makes me wonder if they'll have Zira as a stinger near the end. Wasn't a Lion King Cinematic Universe being thrown around a while ago?
Scar himself looks like foreign, weak, and with very female moves.Has Disney ever even given a Shout-Out to the DTV sequels in any more prestigious projects? They don't seem particularly proud of them.
On a different note, Deadline is reporting that Jeff Bridges will be back for Tron: Ares.

The Owl House and Coyote Vs Acme are my Roman Empire.Disney is quite strongly attached to the TLK and Aladdin sequels at least, as well as the Stitch series.
Maybe it's because the Lion King and Aladdin performed so well.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!The Little Mermaid Sequels performed well, didn't they? But there's not much fondness for them
I just love that most people seem to realize that Mufasa is being made because well, the not-live action Lion King is the highest grossing animated film of all time. Of course it was gonna get a sequel.
Hopefully people will realize that it's gonna be bad. Eh, who am I kidding, people will watch it anyway. Dude, Pride Rock.
I discover my own destiny as I command the winds of life!Wouldn't it be funny if the prequel to Disney's greatest hit is its biggest flop.
The remakes have been underperforming or even outright flopping since they've lost the novelty they had in the late 2010s. Mufasa won't flop but it'll underperform compared to the first one. I would be genuinely shocked if Mufasa is a box office hit.
Scar himself looks like foreign, weak, and with very female moves.Only if you're someone who desperate wants to see the movie flop, then yeah.
New theme music also a box>desperately
You don't have to be desperate for a joke to find it funny.
Maybe not, but rooting for other people's work to fail so it will amuse you personally isnt exactly a good look, desperate or otherwise.
>rooting
If it happens it happens and the irony would be amusing, if it doesn't it's not like I'd care, the first movie did well and I didn't say anything on it either way.
So please don't put words on my mouth. Thanks.
You wouldn't have brought it up if you werent at least slightly interested in the prospect.
In answer to your question, no i dont think it would be funny if this movie or any other random movie you want to name flops. I generally dont find seeing hard working creative people fail on a public stage to be that amusing.

Yeah, I invested so much emotion into a thing I typed in less than half a minute.
So uh if Mufasa is a commoner and made the pride? How does scar work. Its implied hrough most works that he turned on his brother through resenting not getting the crown from his parents?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."IIRC, in the CGI Lion King Scar and Mufasa are, like, blood brothers or something, rather than literal brothers.
I remember there was a bit of a backlash about it when the first CGI movie came out.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. My theory on this is that Scar gets wounded and his father dies in a small period of time, Mufasa is chosen at the last minute to rule based on his leadership afterwards, and the injury (likely a concussion) causes Scar to be the petty piece of shit that we know.
It's been 3000 years…Suddenly I am imagining a Maleficent/Cruella treatment for Scar
So, if there was going to be a third TRON film at some point in the future, what will be done with Lora Baines and Dr. Walter Gibbs since their respective actors Cindy Morgan and Barnard Hughes are no longer with us?

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.Avatar swapping due to glitches or dying offscreen, one of the two.
It's been 3000 years…I see.

He/His/Him. No matter who you are, always Be Yourself.~Brandon Oh. The Parent Trap (1961) got THREE sequels by the way. All TV movies released from 1981-1986.
x3 There's probably gonna be a drop off with the box office similar to Alice In Wonderland 2. It'll do decent but no way it will make anywhere near 1.6 billion dollars.
x2 Unless the teaser is misleading, it's a pretty weird thing to retcon.
I am shocked they decided to make a relatively original story since you can't milk the audiences nostalgia not as easily. I would've thought they'd remake Simba's Pride since they can do some key jangling.
