gaming tropes: limited by the handheld version
Examples include most crossplay games that are also available on a mobile version, which has less buttons (or real estate to emulate them) and in -turn cause the console and PC versions to have over simplified controls, or in some cases even worse graphics or gameplay.
Examples Include:
Crystal Chronicles Remastered: The local coop was removed even though this might have worked on Nintendo Switch, as there would be no way to emulate the game and the player menu on smartphone like the original gamecube and gba set up, except it could have worked with the portability of the Switch and its' ability to function in docked mode. Also had to do with being compatible on other consoles without this feature. The game also had no assigned buttons for the many commands like Defend or Spells despite consoles having many buttons going unused, most likely to be a comparable experience to the mobile version. A little more exacerbated by the fact that many aspects of the mobile version are tailored to that experience, without similar considerations for the others, such as UI layout and touch controls.

Alas, I forget the video games name, but it has a long article here. It's a Nation building Browser game that's supposed to have a Huge Fanbase. Oddly enough, one of the few things I remember about it is that Fleets of ships are supposed to have a limited Movement.
