Total Drama Stranded Contestants
Briony
A smart, somewhat bossy girl, Briony is sure she can use her smarts to win. No matter how much she may be told to shut up, Briony is certain she can use intellect to win the day.Calvin
The king of his high school, Calvin plans to keep the desirables like jocks and cool people on his side and crush losers and nerds under his foot. Can he rule the contest like in his school? Or will he be dethroned.- Evil Versus Evil: He eventually revolts against Keith.
- Freudian Excuse: His school has a ruthless social pecking-order, and he used to be a victim of it.
- Out of Focus: Gets less attention from the narrative after the merge.
Chelsea
A cheerleader. Chelsea is a natural leader and tries her best to keep spirits up on her tribe. However, she can get a little extreme when things don't go her way.- Dumb Blonde: Averted, she actually makes a pretty good leader.
- My God, What Have I Done?: Once she realizes how she's been acting, she regrets it deeply.
Desdemona
An ordinary girl, posing as a prophetess to get herself farther in the game.- Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: For the Pre-Merge. Afterwards, she drops the act, and plays normally.
- Character Check: Votes off Elijah, realizing that he'll only be a distraction from the game. She regrets it very much.
- Foregone Conclusion: She states she has "seen" the future and that she will be eliminated so that no-one will view her as a threat.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Her real name Donna is revealed early on but she says her name is Desdmona. She is still referred to as Desdemona even when she outs herself as not really a psychic.
Elijah
A flirty boy who's hoping that there are plenty of hot ladies this season.- Did Not Get the Girl: After spending half the season pining for Ilona, he ultimately accepts being Better as Friends.
- Easily Forgiven: He doesn't seem to hold a grudge against Chelsea for voting her off, though he still dislikes her as a person. He also forgave Donna for backstabbing him.
- Jerkass: Starts out as a flirty jerk, but undergoes Character Development to become nicer.
- Second Love: He does get Donna after Ilona rejects him.
Esme
A somewhat strange girl, no-one knows much about Esme or why she signed up. Of course, disappearing and appearing randomly probably doesn't help.- Emotionless Girl: Does not react to much and speaks with the same amount of emphasis on every syllable.
Garfield
A wealthy boy and the son to philanthropists. He dedicates his life to helping others.- Nice Guy: Probably the nicest person on the show.
Ilona
A kind and honorable martial arts expert, Ilona vows to win without using any dirty tactics. Only time will tell if she can succeed.- Bifauxnen: Her artwork is mildly boyish.
- Honor Before Reason: Actively refuses to use dirty tactics and despises others who do.
- Idiot Ball: Never seems to realize that Keith is the bad guy, when everyone else can see what a dick he is.
- My Greatest Second Chance: Averted; she finished last in the all-star season.
- Only Sane Man: The most level-headed of the cast and refuses to get caught up in pointless drama.
- Nice Guys Finish Last: In the final challenge, she comes in last out of all four.
- Sore Loser: Acts rather spiteful to Calvin, not even bothering to congratulate him.
Jason
A blind boy who whines, whines and WHINES.- Catchphrase: "I'm blind!" Or some variant.
- Flat Character: Almost every one of his lines has to do with him being blind.
- Inspirationally Disadvantaged: So very much averted, he complains so much any sympathy one might have is completely eradicated.
- Lazy Bum: He uses his blindness as an excuse to do no work and be carried through the game. He is voted out unanimously at his team's first elimination.
Jojo
A sporty overachiever and a physical powerhouse; Jojo is a combination of brawn and boring (the latter according to the fans).- Only Known by Their Nickname: His actual name is Joseph. He actually starts using it in All-Stars.
- That Man Is Dead: He says this in the "promo" picture for All-Stars. It's unknown from the released part of the story what caused this change exactly, though it's implied he simply realized he's not the star of everything.
- Took a Level in Kindness: Sorta. He does act slightly more of a decent human being after hooking up with Matilda. Definitely by Return of the Stars.
Keith
A physically feeble loner, Keith is as slippery as an eel and weakly as a weasel. He plans to lie and scheme his way to the prize.- Affably Evil: Polite and courteous, in Stranded at least...
- The Chessmaster: He's always one step ahead of the game.
- Expy: He shares a lot of similarities with Lil' Gideon.
- Faux Affably Evil: In the All-Star season, where he condescendingly mocks his opponents in a sugary-sweet voice.
- Manipulative Bastard: Despite being physically weak and a loner, he still manages to keep himself in the game time after time.
- My Greatest Second Chance: Possibly.
- Shut Up, Hannibal!: Does this to both Calvin and Ilona, after they go on a tangent about his unethical gameplay. He responds by reminding Calvin that his (Keith's) gameplay has kept Calvin in all this time (also he tells Calvin that he's got some balls to call anyone bad), and that Ilona had made it as far as she did simply by being a non-factor, and floating around the whole time.
Matilda
Like, oh my gosh! It's Matilda! She is like, the sweetest girl ever. She totally can win this thing cause, winning is so hot right now! She totally can do it and make some friends along the way! Like, totally, yeah!- Like Is, Like, a Comma: Almost every one of her lines contains the word "like."
- Verbal Tic: Uses the word "like" so often.
Misha
A powerful gymnast with a foul mouth who acts like a sweet adorable girly girl.- Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Probably has the least amount of sympathetic moments out of everyone.
- Small Name, Big Ego: The minute she makes the merge she assumes she'll be unbeatable at everything. She loses the first challenge where she is promptly voted off by everyone.
Pamela
A girl who hates everyone and believes humans are monsters, and that she's just giving everyone what they truly deserve.- Brilliant, but Lazy: Can be very good at challenges, but only when she feels like it.
- Cassandra Truth: Figures out both Misha and Keith's ruses pretty easily. However, most people don't believe her since she can be quite mean herself.
- Defrosting Ice Queen: Though only somewhat, her worldview does brighten a bit by the end.
- The Determinator: When she sets her sights on targeting someone or winning a challenge, she will not give up. The rest of the time, she doesn't even try.
- Don't You Dare Pity Me!: She doesn't take help from people trying to help her, believing it's all a ploy to use her for a vote.
- Fashionable Asymmetry: Averted, her head is half-shaved, but it is not considered fashionable.
- Failure Hero: All of her attempts to get Keith out fail.
- The Hero: Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this is our main character.
- Hypocrite: States people are jerks to each other, yet she engages in a lot of Jerkass behavior herself. In all fairness, she does kinda point this out and justifies it as a "Get them before they get you" mentality.
- I'm Not Here to Make Friends: Just to screw others over. Although she does end up making a couple.
- Jerkass: Loves screwing people over. Improves somewhat over time.
- Noble Demon: She may like causing trouble, but she definitely tries to stop anyone from getting away with anything malicious.
- Only Sane Man: Initially the only one who sees through Keith and Misha's bullshit.
- Spanner in the Works: Towards Keith, causing the first elimination he didn't plan.
- Took a Level in Kindness: Still very rough on the outside, but definitely better then when she started out.
- Team Killer: States she'll let the team lose just because she doesn't like them. However, given the right motivation, she can be persuaded to win.
Riley
A lazy, and oddly lovable, sleepyhead.- The Load: Only wants to sleep.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Eventually decides that all the pressure he's given isn't with it, and votes himself off.
- Token Minority: Only Hispanic in the cast.
- Wild Card: In the post-merge, everyone wants him as an extra vote in their alliances.
Rusty
A Stupid Evil villain who would make Dick Dastardly proud.- Harmless Villain: Sees himself as the new Heather/Alejandro/Scott, yet fails pretty hard at it.
- Stupid Evil: The poster boy for this trope. So much that after being accepted into Calvin's alliance, he destroys the bridge that Calvin is walking just for the sake of being evil, losing him his spot in the alliance. Later, he is reaccepted but is voted off anyway because he blabbed to Matilda and Jojo that he and Calvin were going to vote off Matilda, so Calvin votes off Rusty to convince Jojo he had never agreed to.
Sasha
A kooky but honourable girl who has all the bravery and loyalty of a knight.- Token Minority: The only black contestant in the cast.
Shannon
- Break the Haughty: Assumes her looks will get the boys to do whatever she wants, but is repeatedly rejected. She even ends up getting kicked off first for being so annoying.
- Distaff Counterpart: For Elijah, except she lacks his chivalry.
- Ms. Fanservice: Wears only a bikini. However, she ruins it by thinking being so automatically makes all the boys her servants.
- Lazy Bum: She uses her appearance as an excuse to do no work and be carried through the game. She is voted out unanimously at her team's first elimination.
Stanley
A cool guy who happens to be gay.- All Gays are Promiscuous: Averted, he never even had a kiss prior to the show.
The Masked Boy aka Timothy
A mysterious young man, he wears a mask to conceal his true identity, and a secret he would prefer to keep a secret. But who is under that mask?- The Quiet One: He does not want to talk too much and reveal his identity.
- The Reveal: He is Garfield's younger brother Timothy.

A rich snob who feels he is above everyone ... and is also a BADASS who is by far the strongest conestant, but only when he fels like it.Austin

- Hard Work Hardly Works
- Took a Level in Badass: Becomes a true strategic force after the merge thanks to her flipping.
- Turncoat: Votes what ever way she needs to at the time.
Brienne
A lazy egotistical brat who can't do half the things she says she can.- Dumbass Has a Point: Points out that Florence is a major threat, and that Pedro has no intention of bringing her to the finals.
- Puppet King: She thinks she's in charge of the alliance she's in, but in reality, it's headed by Marion and later, Aloysius.
Drew
A guy who is often zoned out and finds a story in everything he sees.- Affably Evil: Funny, charming, and overall is a great guy to be around... and is also a devious, cutthroat individual.
- Hidden Depths: Is really on of the biggest strategists in the game, and has had a role in a few eliminations.
- The Storyteller: He likes to tell stories of everything he sees and what animals go through (often they make more sense than you'd expect). He claims that there is a story in everything if you look hard enough.
Ferris
An antisocial girl who prefers to be by herself.- The Bus Came Back: One of the two returnees.
- Shoot the Shaggy Dog: She overcomes her antisocial nature, only to switch teams and get voted out next.
Florence
A nice guy who is just competing to have a good time.- The Big Guy: One of the strongest members of his team.
- Stupid Good: Even his fans admit Florence is an idiot.
- Undying Loyalty: Played with. He seems to always have Drew's back, but is torn between helping him and the other alliance, which has all of his friends in it.
Karly
A natural leader and a good friend to those she leads.Linus
A boy who is BEYOND obsessed with justice and wants to get rid if the villains and everything that is evil.Marion

- Tyrant Takes the Helm: He gathers together an alliance of himself and four others early on to take the majority. He gets former leader Karly voted out and it is clear he's going to enjoy his power.
Mel
A rude girl who isn't shy about insulting EVERYONE.- Jerkass Has a Point: Is surprisingly spot-on with the flaws she points out.
- No Indoor Voice: Almost everything she says is at full volume. To be fair, the series does take place outdoors most of the time.
Pedro
A businessman who wants to run the show like a business empire.- Expy: He is similar to another character of the author called Crisco who was in the eleventh season of Survivor: Fan Characters.
- Mistreatment-Induced Betrayal: His conflicting loyalties to Ferris, his girlfriend, and Brienne and Betty, his alliance-mates, causes the latter two to turn on him.
Portia
A spoiled sweetheart who wants to make her daddy proud.- Character Development: At the very least, Portia has gotten some understanding of how people work, but it's obvious she still has a lot to learn about the real world.
- Control Freak: After the swap, she becomes obsessed with making sure she isn't in the minority.
- Moral Myopia: She's trying to stay in the game, so it's okay if she uses strategy or threatens someone. Anyone else that does so is inherently bad.
- Polly Anna: A good deconstruction. All the pressure causes her to snap somewhat.
- Shout-Out: Her appearance seems to be a tribute to Princess Peach.
Randall
A guy who fails epically at everything he does.Renada
A grumpy girl who is strong and irritable.Rocky
A kooky girl who can talk to animals.- Suddenly Fluent in Gibberish: Can speak to animals.
Sandy
A 'nice girl' who plans to ally with mean people and use them as shields.- Hoist by Her Own Petard: Tried to keep jerkass Mel in the game; her disloyalty to the team's agreed plan got her voted out first.
Teddy
An excitable motormouth who just cannot stop being excited that he is on Total Drama.- Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: Was the one that ended Aloysius's immunity streak.
