Characters Introduced in Extinction World
Cronus
The park's first Tyrannosaurus.- Breakout Character: Quickly became the most popular animal character in the Mortal-verse.
- Prehistoric Monster: Downplayed: he isn't truly evil or monstrous, but he IS extremely aggressive.
Terence and Matilda
A pair of adult Tyrannosaurus.- Adaptation Distillation: In the original show, they were siblings. Here, they are mates.

Characters Introduced in The Ultimate Wildlife Sanctuary
Nathan Jackson
One of the viewpoint characters, Nathan is on vacation at the park along with his family.- Big Sister Worship: Towards Holly.
- Butt-Monkey: Is constantly being put down and mocked by his uncle Gerard and James, his sister's boyfriend.
- Embarrassing Nickname: "Harry Potter", courtesy of his Jerkass uncle.
- Fan Boy: Is this of Owen Grady, which makes it all the more heartwarming when he gets Owen's autograph.
- Little Sister Instinct: Feels the need to stand up for his sister whenever James is being too rude to her. Considering how much of an ass James is, this is often.
- Nice Guy: A sensitive, polite and energetic boy.
- Speech Impediment: Has a stutter.
- Smart People Wear Glasses: Has glasses.
- Shrinking Violet: Sometimes.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: Whenever Gerard mocks him about following the rules (usually after someone else in their family just broke them), a member of the staff will immediately berate Gerard for his actions.
Holly Jackson
Nathan's sister and another viewpoint character.- Cool Big Sis: Was this to Nathan when they were younger; "Night On Sorna" somewhat restores it.
- Domestic Abuse: Is victim to emotional and psychological abuse from James.
- Destructive Romance: Is in this kind of relationship with James: he abuses her publicly, abandons her on a date so that he could talk to his friends, and, in general, makes her life miserable.
- It's implied that, initially, they were on much better terms, but over the last six months, he's had a turn for the worst. She planned to take him to Prehistoric Park to try and rekindle their romance, but it's obvious that that ship has already sailed by the time they arrive at the park.
- Furthermore, Nathan's thoughts indicate that James has always been a problem, so it's more of a case of something that was already bad getting worse.

- Green-Eyed Monster: Feels this way toward a pair of terror birds, because they have no problems with their relationship, unlike hers.
- Love Martyr: Goes out of her way to please her boyfriend... despite the fact he treats her appallingly.
Gerard
Nathan and Holly's uncle. He's not very nice.- Big Brother Bully: Is emotionally abusive of his sister Linda (Nathan and Holly's mom), and takes advantage of her whenever he can.
- Prior to the story, he guilt-tripped Linda into paying the most out of several people to get his son Jack an iPad for Christmas, because she didn't get Jack anything for his birthday. For reference, none of Jack's cousins got any significant presents from their aunts and uncles.
- To make things even worse, at the time, Linda's family was experiencing economic problems (her husband was at risk of being laid off and her boss had refused to give her a raise), while Gerard and his wife had no such problems, due to both working high-paying jobs.

- Even Evil Has Standards: However much of a scumbag Gerard is, even he agrees that James is an ass.
- Evil Uncle: When he's with Nathan, he proves to be apathetic about Nathan's existence at best and out-and-out mocking him at worst; he's dismissive of his love of prehistoric creatures, mockingly calls him "Harry Potter" (because Nathan wears glasses that are slightly oversized), and publically humiliates him for wanting to follow the rules after Jack hits the glass on the Gigantophis tank to get a reaction out of the snake.
- Hate Sink: Is a more downplayed, realistic example. Whilst he is a selfish, emotionally manipulative, Entitled Bastard, he has a couple of Pet the Dog moments - however, it's made clear that these do not excuse, in any way, his behaviour.
- Jerkass: Oh, yes.
- Laser-Guided Karma: The last one gets him humiliated when one of the park's staff calls him out on letting his son tap the glass.
- Pet the Dog: Gets a couple of moments. He's visibly unnerved when his wife mocks Nathan's speech impediment and at least tried to be sympathetic about the death of his sister's dog.
- Thicker Than Water: Often invokes this when trying to get his sister to do what he wants, but he really doesn't care about his sister or nephew, except when he has the opportunity to take advantage of them.
James
Holly's boyfriend. He's also not very nice.- Domestic Abuse: Emotionally and psychologically abuses Holly.
- Hate Sink: The story's main example. He psychologically and emotionally abuses his girlfriend and seemingly dedicates his life to bullying everything that crosses his path.
- Word of God confirms this was deliberate: in Nathanoraptor's own words, he's "a character you could read one line of and just think 'scum'".
- Jerkass: Is extremely rude to people/animals that annoy him.
- Gerard comes off as kind compared to him.
- Case in point: when he is with Holly at Jurassic Treetops, he throws a stone at an Apatosaurus because it isn't doing anything. When it misses and causes several Dryosaurus to scatter, he's clearly happy.
- Immediately after the above scene, a keeper tells him to stop harassing the animals. His response:
- James(While raising his middle finger): Oh, fuck off, you frigid bitch.
- Kick the Dog: Treats it as his daily routine. Case in point: when he is with Holly at Jurassic Treetops, he throws a stone at an Apatosaurus because it isn't doing anything. When it misses and causes several Dryosaurus to scatter, he's clearly happy. When a keeper tells him to stop harassing the animals, he insults her.
Linda Jackson
Nathan and Holly's mother and another viewpoint character.- Extreme Doormat: Shows traits of this; being browbeaten by her brother, her Bad Boss…
- Stacy's Mom: To Nathan's male classmates.
- The Teetotaler: Unlike the majority of her family, due to what alcohol did to her father in his later years.
Liz
Nathan and Holly's aunt and Gerard's wife.- Evil Aunt: Joins in her husband's mocking of Nathan
- Eviler than Thou: Downplayed, but she is this to Gerard: whle they're both Jerk Asses, she's willing to mock Nathan over things that Gerard would rather leave alone.
- Kick the Dog: Rather cruelly mocks Nathan's stutter.
Jack
Nathan and Holly's younger cousin and Lauren's brother.- Too Dumb to Live: Taps on the glass wall of the Gigantophis exhibit, because the snake isn't doing anything, in spite of the fact there is a very obvious sign that warns against this. Gerard gets chewed out for letting him do this.
Lauren
Nathan and Holly's cousin and Jack's sister.- Big Brother Worship: Appears to look up to Nathan the same way he looked up to Holly.
- Cheerful Child: In stark contrast to her brother and parents.
- Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Has blonde hair and is a Nice Girl.
- Nice Girl: Doesn't join in when her parents and brother start mocking Nathan.
- Shared Family Quirks: Looks up to Nathan in the same way he used to look up to Holly.
- Spoiled Sweet: She is just as overindulged as her brother - however, she is much nicer than him.
