Team SCRP
Weiss Schnee
Weiss Schnee
The heiress the the Schnee Dust family who was sent to attend Atlas academy on her father's wishes due to deeming Vale to dangerous. Prim, proud, and proper, she is the leader of Team SCRP.- The Leader: Contrasting canon, she's the leader of her team.

Contrasting her teammates, she's serious and no-nonsense in most situations.- Bare-Fisted Monk: In stark contrast to almost every else in the setting, all of whom rely on some form of a Mix-and-Match Weapon, she fights exclusively using unarmed combat.
- Big Sister Instinct: She is shown to be very protective of her half-brother, Otto.
- Can't Catch Up: She has some self-worth issues because she's the weakest combatant on her team and struggles to match-up against the rest of them. She spends an entire day training to the brink of exhaustion just to keep pace with her teammates.
Ruby Rose
Ruby Rose

- Sinister Scythe: Just like canon, her main weapon is Crescent Rose, her high-caliber sniper-scythe.

The daughter of Pietro Polendina, the greatest scientist in Atlas. Unknown to all but a scant few, she's actually an android and the first synthetic life-form that can produce Aura.- Flying Brick: Using her jetpack, she can fly through the air at top speeds. Combined with her being far stronger and more durable than any Huntress-in-training due to a combination of her robotic nature and Aura, she's most certainly this.
- Token Non-Human: She's an android and the only non-human member of Team SCRP.
- Younger Than They Look: She's roughly a year old even though she looks like a seventeen-year-old girl.
Beacon
Team VYBA
Vernal Branwen
Vernal Branwen
A member of the Branwen tribe and the adoptive sister of Yang. She attends Beacon Academy on her mother's orders to get close to her sister.- Related in the Adaptation: Played With. She's Yang's sister here, albeit unrelated biologically speaking due to being adopted by Raven.
- Token Evil Teammate: Downplayed. It's more like Token Jerk Teammate since she's the most blunt and antagonizing of the team.

Yang Xiao Long
The fiery and go-getting older sister of Ruby, who finds herself paired up with people who have complicated pasts. Despite the name, she's actually the leader of Team VYBA.- The Big Guy: She's the tallest and strongest member of her team, as well as the most aggressive.
- The Leader: She was given the leadership position of her team.
Blake Belladonna
Blake Belladonna
A cat Faunus who attended Beacon alongside her friend, Ilia.- Adaptational Sexuality: She’s heterosexual here, whereas in canon she’s bisexual.
- Adaptational Villainy: Downplayed. Personality wise, she's no different than canon, but the circumstances that lead to her leaving the White Fang didn't happen in this story, so she's still part of it when the plot begins.
- Incompatible Orientation: She's straight, which means that she can't return Ilia's feelings for her, which she lets her friend know after she's made aware of the attraction.
Ilia Amitola
Ilia Amitola
A chameleon Faunus and a long-time friend of Blake's.- Incompatible Orientation: Jaune's flirting with her was all for naught as she's in love with Blake.
