Zorglub gets kidnapped by the Triangle, but luckily Spirou, Fantasio, the Count and Itoh Kata manage to follow them to the Polynesia archipelago of Tora Torapa. There, Papa Pop, the mysterious number one of the Triangle, has recently reinvested the local abandoned Zorglub secret base with secret militia, the Tontons mamoutes. They ask Zorglub to design a secret transmitter, designed to attract mosquitos. Little does he know that the Triangle does not ambition to end tropical illnesses, but to use mosquitos as a weapon of mass destruction. This album is notable for the introduction of Ororéa, a native of Tora Torapa who guides the heroes to the base.
