- Accidental Innuendo: The songs "500 Chunks" and "I Wanna Know Where My Wood Is", the first one being about a villager who searches for the wood stolen from him and the second one spelling its subject out, can just as easily be interpreted as metaphors for impotence.

- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: VILLAGER NEWS: CHRISTMAS 2020 tweaked the design of the Villagers slightly to give their facial expressions a lower-res aesthetic, as a subtle homage to Minecraft's art style. This was widely criticized, and they went back on this change immediately. They made fun of this in some of their future videos.
