In the wake of GoAnimate's numerous attempts to modernize its website for the HTML5 era (and to possibly get away from the bad reputation the infamous "grounded" videos had given it), many people who used the site in the past or wanted to start making videos similar to the ones made on it before went several ways: Some went to websites like Plotagon or PowToon, while others resorted to more low-tech methods. Case in point, Mutant Po FlurrandJangoFTW MegatronFTL, who uses the age-old technique of filming his screen (In this case, using Google Slides) to make his videos.
The Mutant Po Show contains examples of:
- Adaptational Villainy: In the actual Mario games, Pink Gold Peach is (likely) just another variation of Peach, but here, she's a Nazi robot in league with the Decepticons.
- Black-and-White Morality: Mixed with Blue-and-Orange Morality. Push any one of Mutant Po's Berserk Buttons and you're a villain. If not, you're a good guy.
- Dull Surprise: Despite the majority of the show's voices coming from an actual human rather than a text-to-speech program like with GoAnimate, characters that are supposed to sound sad, angry, scared, or excited often don't really sound like it. Just bad voice acting, or intentionally trying to recapture the robotic sound of GoAnimate's TTS? You decide!
- Gosh Dang It to Heck!: Mutant Po avoids using profanity whenever possible. This extends to the subject of hell in religious contexts.
- Insane Troll Logic: The series practically runs on it. Some of the most bizarre examples would be the claim that the titular character of King Star King is a "ripoff" of Waluigi and that FETCH! with Ruff Ruffman is a "ripoff" of WarioWare.
- Shout-Out: One of the show's intros is patterned after that of OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes. You can even see Mutant Po clicking on the original show's theme song video in another tab before switching over to his own version.
- Those Wacky Nazis: Apparently Pink Gold Peach is one.
- Vocal Dissonance: Several characters in this series have MUCH higher-pitched voices than what they did in their original series.
