Basic Trope: A character who hunts down Nazis.
- Straight: The story is centered on Mikhail Sayakov, a rookie soldier of the Soviet Union with a great disdain towards Nazis during World War II.
- Exaggerated:
- Mikhail, a Knight Templar Nazi Hunter who works on his own, dedicated his entire life to operate a concentration camp and torture whoever is related to the Nazis, including innocent children.
- Mikhail, a Private Military Contractor with a Blood Knight tendency, slaughters Nazis with a swarm of homing missiles for fun and profit.
- Sayakov Corps, an organisation of what is essentially A Nazi by Any Other Name, runs a Witch Hunt to torment everyone in a village just to find a Wehrmacht soldier who has nothing to do with Nazis.
- General Hans, a failed Internal Reformist in the Waffen SS, decides to turn against his own kind.
- Sayakov Corps, a Jewish and Nerdy Hacker Collective, blows up Argentina for hiding ex-Nazis whoever they are Nazi Grandpas, Private Military Contractors or Corrupt Corporate Executives.
- Downplayed:
- Mikhail, a Bounty Hunter, hunts Nazis to pillage their Nazi Gold.
- Mikhail, a police officer, arrests Neo-Nazis and brings them to the court.
- Justified:
- Mikhail's parents were killed by the Nazis.
- The Nazis are considered fair game for Bounty Hunter and Professional Killer.
- This is Mikhail's Roaring Rampage of Revenge for his lover Yuria, who died protecting him from the Nazis.
- Inverted:
- Hans, a Nazi Protagonist, is escaping from Mikhail's wrath in a Fugitive Arc.
- Mikhail is a communist hunter that tracks down and slaughters Renegade Russians and other people responsible for various Soviet Atrocities.
- Subverted:
- Mikhail appears to be a person who kills Nazis, but he's revealed to be an officer in the Waffen SS.
- Mikhail appears to be a decent military commander, but he's revealed to be the commander of Waffen SS.
- Mikhail appears to be a Nazi Hunter, but it turns out he's actually a Professional Killer who accept all kinds of contracts, be it related to hunting Nazis or not.
- Mikhail appears to be a ruthless Knight Templar Nazi Hunter who treats Nazis as nothing but his preys, except he can't bring himself to kill a defenseless Nazi Grandpa.
- Double Subverted:
- It's subsequently revealed that the Soviet Union recruited him as a Double Agent.
- Except he serves no one, he's a Bounty Hunter who happens to target Nazis.
- But ultimately, he did hunt Nazis in his career.
- But then he drags the said Nazi Grandpa to the graveyard and repeatedly slams his skull towards Yuria's tombstone.
- Parodied:
- Mikhail, a self-proclaimed Nazi Hunter, managed to capture real Nazis... in an interview where they are apologizing to the crowd.
- Mikhail, a Troll, repeatedly trick the resident Grammar Nazi in a forum.
- Zig Zagged: ???
- Averted: Mikhail does not hunt Nazis.
- Enforced:
- It was a historical work - Mikhail is a Soviet soldier in real life so doing otherwise would be a major case of Historical Hero Upgrade.
- The author is Mikhail, he wants to tell a tale of his great hunt.
- Lampshaded: "Do they have any Nazi Gold? If not, why else would you hunt Nazis?"
- Invoked: Mikhail stocks up hundreds of security cameras and guns in a hope he would have a chance to hunt Nazis.
- Exploited:
- General Hans confesses himself to Mikhail in order to strike him down with an artillery strike.
- Mikhail doesn't even know what a Nazi is, he's just looking for an excuse to kill someone.
- Hermann, a Nazi officer wanting to get rid of General Hans, joins Mikhail's hunt in a hope of usurping the throne.
- Neko, an evil Necromancer in love with dead bodies, joins Mikhail's hunt so she can gather the corpses for her own good.
- Defied: Mikhail refused to hunt Nazis, knowing that one day he would be consumed by a pure hatred and become no different to a Nazi.
- Discussed:
- "What makes a beast? Is it unfortunate people forced to work in the force of evil? Or we who are beasts in a hunter's clothing, who hunts beasts because they are beasts?"
- This exchange, between Sophia and Mikhail:
Mikhail: "So you are the daughter of General Hans?"Sophia: "What? Of course I am. What do you mean by this?"Mikhail: "Your crime has claimed many innocent lives, no longer."Sophia: "I have nothing to do with Nazis! Go away!"Mikhail: "And you think your dad can get away from torturing my friends, and, killing Yuria?!"Sophia: "You said you hunt Nazis, look at you, you're no different to a Nazi! You-" - Conversed: "You think a character like Mikhail would've actually existed in real life?" "Not just that, but there might've been thousands of them who just didn't stand out as much as the guy based on Mikhail did."
- Implied: Mikhail has a huge collection of trophies salvaged from the Nazis, but he never stated anything about hunting Nazis.
- Deconstructed:
- Mikhail, a Knight Templar Nazi Hunter, dedicated his entire life to bring terror upon Nazis for a greater good, however, after years and years of hunting, he has been succumbed by a pure hatred and has lost his moral compass. He's now willing to start a Revenge by Proxy to people not even related to the Nazis and is progressively becoming the very thing he's supposed to hunt.
- Mikhail dedicated his entire life to hunt Nazis for a living, but when there's no Nazi left, he can no longer find a job because all he knows was killing.
- Reconstructed:
- But ultimately, Mikhail successfully destroyed the Nazi for good, although he finds this boring and is secrelty wanting to kill more Nazis.
- Mikhail keeps from falling through the Moral Event Horizon when he meets General Hans' grandson Jonas, who turns out to be very ashamed of his grandfather being a Nazi as well as all the atrocities he committed during the Second World War, and Mikhail realizes he shouldn't let his desire for revenge override true justice by expanding the definition of who deserves retribution too broadly. Jonas, meanwhile, becomes even more horrified at the depths of depravity when Mikhail tells him stories from his time and becomes more determined to oppose neo-Nazis in the present time; Mikhail realizes that eventually the last original Nazis will die out, and so finds new purpose in preventing new ones in the present day.
- Mikhail decides to go after other nasty political groups instead, like the Klu Klux Klan.
- Played For Laughs: Mikhail tells a tale of him hunting Nazis... in a video game.
- Played For Drama:
- Mikhail is a loyal and ruthless Nazi Hunter, unbeknownst for him, his father is General Hans, this leads him to a severe Heroic BSoD as he can't decide if he should hunt down his father and eventually himself.
- When Mikhail thought he can retire, Izanami Rerhuf note , a ruthless Neo-Nazi leader revived the Waffen SS, and thus, his new hunt begins.
- Mikhail, in order to avenge Yuria, sets up his personal concentration camp to torture the Nazis. Throughout his personal vendetta, he writes several journals recording his pasts, what starts his vendetta, and his gradual Sanity Slippage into becoming the very beasts he hunted.
