Why does Maggot only reward the gang with three cents and a can of beans despite being the only humans in Ramshackle to be deemed semi-righteous? He likely didn't want to reward them with more than they needed, lest they become corrupted.
Why is everyone so impressed by Maggot doing the worm? The announcer says Taylee only does a backflip "when you're not looking" and Jayden can do telepathy "but only with himself", indicating the baby contestants have no actual skills and just sit there looking impressive. Maggot, by doing something, no matter how simple, would have won by virtue of actually bringing anything of substance. The exaggerated reactions of the crowd are still Rule of Funny though.
