This series contains examples of:

  • 420, Blaze It: Jevil claims that 100 words might not be enough to give a good explanation for his plans, and it might be better to aim for a larger but still meaningful number, such as 413 or 420.
  • All Just a Dream: "Unaltered" reveals that "Unrelated" was just a fantasy of Nathan's after Tommy ruined his reputation.
  • Anthropomorphic Food: "Nut Leader" reveals that there is a council of sapient nuts working to take Nathan down for selling their brethren as snacks.
  • Back from the Dead: In "Urn, Elated" Jevil says he wishes to thank Phoenix by fixing a tragedy from the past. He hands Phoenix the Sacred Urn of the Fey clan, having repaired it after it was broken in Justice for All. Phoenix says he'll give it to Mia Fey to take back to her village, revealing that she is now alive despite her death in the source material.
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: "Elated Run" is the first entry to have a wordcount over 100. Jevil claims credit, because he can do anything.
  • Breather Episode: After the first three entries set up the background of the TunaElder's betrayal of the Nutdealer, "Unrelated" takes a break in an Elseworld to show the pair petting cats peacefully.
  • Canon Character All Along: In "Elated Run", it is revealed that the mysterious Shadow introduced in "Ultra Eden" was Jevil all along.
  • Crack Fic: The story ultimately revolves around the rivalry of two mall food cart owners willing to go to absurd lengths to dethrone each other.
  • Cute Kitten: "Unrelated" centers around Nathan and Tommy petting stray cats in the park while they chat about things they might have done in another world.
  • Deal with the Devil: "Ultra Eden" reveals that Tommy made a deal with a mysterious Shadow to overcome Nathan, in exchange for selling the Shadow's tuna. Unfortunately it went further than Tommy had expected.
  • Death of the Hypotenuse: In "Learn Duet", Blaine randomly fades from existence while Kurt and Sam sing a duet together.
  • Doomed by Canon: Nathan's arrest in "Nude Alert" had already been written, giving the council of nuts an effortless victory in "Nut Leader".
  • Drowning My Sorrows: "Red Nut Ale" consists of Nathan drinking the eponymous spirit while he broods about Tommy's betrayal.
  • Either/Or Title: "Nude Alert or Silly Anagram Based Jokes".
  • Elseworld: "Unrelated" takes place in an entirely different (and imaginary) universe where Nathan and Tommy were close friends rather than bitter rivals.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Jevil, despite his known love for chaos, reveals that he is actually reigning in the chaos, because he's only interested in fun chaos like merging all realities into a paradise where people can pet cats all day, not boring chaos like dropping a meteor that kills everyone.
  • Exactly What It Says on the Tin: The second entry's Either/Or Title succinctly sums up the series as "Silly Anagram Based Jokes" — every entry in the series is a Crack Fic based on one of the various anagrams of "Undertale".
  • Fix Fic: "Learn Duet" is a random External Retcon of "Duets" from Glee in which Kurt and Sam actually do sing a duet together and Blaine quietly vanishes from existence.
  • Flash Fiction: Most entries are exactly 100 words long, and all of them are very short.
  • Formula-Breaking Episode: Due to the Round Robin nature of the series, an entry will occasionally jump somewhere else entirely without warning:
    • "Unrelated" is a random Imagine Spot of a universe in which Nathan and Tommy just pet cats in the park every day and never became rivals.
    • "Learn Duet" is a random Fix Fic of Glee whose only connection to the main story is showing the effects of Jevil unreeling the world as part of his plan to create Ultra Eden.
  • Informed Attribute: The summary of "TunaElder" claims that Nathan has a "heart of gold" but due to the stories' limited length we barely see anything from his personality before the betrayal.
  • In Name Only: A bit more literally than usual — the series's entire premise is crackfics based on anagrams of Undertale and Deltarune's titles, and no actual elements from the source games appeared until the mysterious Shadow is revealed to be Jevil in "Elated Run". "Unrelated" lampshades this with one of its tags being "this is getting so far from the source material omg".
  • LOL, 69: "Nude Alert", the closest the series comes to anything sexual, has a wordcount of exactly 69.
  • The Man Behind the Man: "Ultra Eden" reveals that Tommy's betrayal was not done of his own accord, but as part of a Deal with the Devil with a mysterious Shadow — he wanted to overcome Nathan, but not like that.
  • Merged Reality: Jevil hires Phoenix Wright to be Nathan's lawyer, claiming that he broke the boundaries of reality to blend the worlds together. He says his ultimate plan involves uniting all worlds, but hasn't elaborated much beyond that.
  • Motor Mouth: "Altered Nu" shows Jevil challenged to name all 151 original Pokémon with only 100 words, which he accomplishes by altering the "nu" (frequency) of the words, deleting all the spaces between them so that a lengthy fic still shows a wordcount of 100 on AO3.
  • One-Steve Limit: Averted. Being a crossover with characters from multiple works, we have a Sam Evans and a Sam Reyu.
  • Reality Warper: Jevil claims to be able to do anything multiple times and so far it seems to be true. He's done things such as uniting multiple words, bringing Phoenix Wright into his plans, while also rewriting history.
  • Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies: The first chapter of "Tad Unreel" ends with a meteor killing everybody. Chapter 2 takes place in a better timeline where this does not happen.
  • Theme Initials: The main characters' real names match their anagram-based titles — Nathan Delta, the Nutdealer, and Tommy Epsilon, the TunaElder.
  • Title Drop: Subverted in "Unaltered", when Tommy opens his eyes from the fantasy that was "Unrelated" to see that, unfortunately, the world is still... nondifferent.
  • Wins by Doing Absolutely Nothing: The council of nuts in "Nut Leader" don't even have to do anything to take Nathan down, as he gets arrested for public exposure in the middle of their meeting.
