* NightmareFuel: The game is fully of spooky characters, but [[https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/The_Stagehand_(Legends_of_Runeterra) The Stagehand]] manages to be one of the most conceptually dark followers in the game, partly by virtue of [[RealismInducedHorror having little to no supernatural elements to her story]]: a young Ionian priestess, [[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom she unwittingly led Noxian invaders towards her temple]], seemingly underestimating [[RapePillageAndBurn how violently they would pillage it]]. It's then implied that in her [[ItsAllMyFault guilt-stricken state]], [[MadArtist Jhin]] manipulated her to "atone" by having her plant a disguised bomb inside a Noxian camp -- it's strongly suggested that [[SuicideAttack not only did she not survive the explosion]], she ''knew'' she wouldn't survive, and was convinced to play her part [[ManipulativeBastard as part of Jhin's sick machinations]].

** [[https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/Aberrant_Mageseeker_(Legends_of_Runeterra) Aberrant Mageseeker]] initially seems like another product of Lux's dream like the rest of Demacia's cards in Set 9, possibly some kind of manifestation of how Lux sees the Mageseekers... except, there is something incredibly ''[[UncannyValley off]]'' about him beyond even that. Not only are his proportions [[CreepilyLongArms ever so slightly wrong]], but his voicelines vary between a heroic sounding voice and something else more guttural and raspy. Combined with his strange posture and calling Lux "[[SomethingOnlyTheyWouldSay Little Light]]", it's heavily implied he's actually a demon, possibly ''[[ScaryScarecrows Fiddlesticks]]'', putting on some kind of human shell in Lux's dream.

** Irelia appears as the mid-boss of Kai'sa's adventure, and like Azir before her, is much harder than the final boss for pretty much the same reason she was so hated on the ladder. Her Blades have Studded Leather to turn them into 2/2 tokens, Flawless Duet has a Mana Potion to bring it down to 1-cost, and Irelia's power allows her strongest unit to gain +1/+1 and attack with the Blades every time she Blade Dances, all of which combine to evoke the bad old days of [[GameBreaker Azirelia]] terrorizing the meta as she shreds open your board and Nexus with repeated Blade Dances backed by a single monstrously huge unit getting an unreasonable number of attacks in (usually Irelia herself, who has Quick Attack).

** [[https://leagueoflegends.fandom.com/wiki/The_Howling_Abyss_(Legends_of_Runeterra) The Howling Abyss]], which generates random Champions every round, is often referred to simply as "ARAM" due to it being the map of the aforementioned mode (All Random, All Mid) in ''League of Legends''. To a lesser extent, the "ARAM" label is also applied to other effects (usually in Path of Champions) that generate random Champions.
** "[=LeBonk=]" for [=LeBlanc=]'s depiction in this game, which focuses more on her being a GlassCannon mage than her tricks and deception.
