** To Ais' surprise, Sora manages to not only match her in their sparring match, but visibly holds the upper hand and manages to emerge unscathed, despite being Level 1. [[spoiler:He also proves himself to be this to Allen and Ottar which the latter takes better than the former.]]

* TheApprentice: Sora noted that he would be willing to teach Bell magic once he hears about Bell learning magic but he isn't sure if it would work due to how magic works in the [=DanMachi=] world. Bell himself also doubts that it would work due to how much more advanced the magic outside of his world is.
* TheArchmage: Sora thinks that Donald would be the most broken magic user by the [=DanMachi=] world's standards due to there being a limit of 3 spells among other things.
** In a non-canon omake Donald does consider the limitations and requirements of that world ridiculous and thinks that chanting is too conspicuous and leaves you vulnerable.
* AttackReflector: Shakti's [[spoiler:new arm bracer made from a boss Heartless drop by Tsubaki can absorb force from attacks and release it at her command.]]
* AwesomenessByAnalysis: Sora shows off some impressive analytical thinking in combat and also proves himself to be quite effective at assessing how to help Bell, Ais and Lefiya train to the point where he is able to give them a good training plan for them to follow in his absence.

** Due to his misuse of the Power of Waking Sora has lost access to it.
** This is what Sora at first thinks is the case for his strength after getting his Falna and being handed his stat sheet by Hestia but unlike in the games it gets subverted since everyone starts with the same stats after receiving their Falna regardless of how strong they already are.
** Later it gets played straight for Sora in regards to all of his summons except the Dream Eaters.
* BattleAura: Bell's Hestia Knife gives him one thanks to its light attribute which grants him a certain degree of additional defense.
* BeehiveBarrier: Sora can do this with Reflect magic though Elemental Formchanges prevent him from using defensive magic like that if he is using them but this can quickly be circumvented through changing Keychains.
* BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor: [[spoiler:Hephaestus grows increasingly confused and intrigued by the Gummi Ship blueprints Sora provided her to try and build, wishing she had more context. Her frustration boils over when Hestia and Sora repeatedly answer her questions with "that's a long and complicated story" before eventually outright demanding the truth... and immediately regretting it with the headache that comes from the {{Infodump}} of the events of the Kingdom Hearts story, with all the insanity that entails.]] {{Lampshade|Hanging}}d in that she admits she can't even complain since she literally asked for it. [[spoiler:Lili ends up in a similar situation after joining the Hestia Familia due to not wanting to stay LockedOutOfTheLoop.]]
* BeyondTheImpossible: Once Hephaestus is properly informed about Sora's situation she notes that the Gummi Ship surpasses all of the transportation in her world with her adding that no god has ever achieved something like that even in Tenkai. She believes that her Arcanum would have the best chance of forging it but even she is skeptical about it actually succeeding.

* BlessedWithSuck: Hestia's opinion of having Sora in her Familia. On the one hand he's a fighter heads and shoulders above all but the best Orario can offer, has numerous assets to help her Familia, and acts as a positive influence on Bell in terms of character and skill. On the other hand, she has to deal with the constant headache of making sure he stays under the radar (which clashes with his ChronicHeroSyndrome), the many, many, ''many'' cases of [[WrongContextMagic powers he uses that utterly break the rules of their world]], [[ArsonMurderAndJaywalking and hearing the crazy nonsense that is his previous adventures]].

* BuriedAlive: [[spoiler:This nearly happened to Sora after he used a Megaflare to finish off a Heartless Venenthes while underground but he was able to simply drill his way up to the surface unharmed.]]
* CannotKeepASecret: This is what Hestia believes would be the case if she told Bell and Sora the truth about Liaris Freese and Link to All especially in the hypothetical situation of them being confronted about it by a god. Sora himself did indeed have multiple moments of slipping up with his powers, abilities and background and then needing to either improvise an explanation or simply leaving it unexplained to the confusion of everyone not in the know.

* ChronicHeroSyndrome: Within minutes of arriving in the Dungeon, Sora saves Bell from the minotaur. Throughout the story he frequently makes sure to help others when he can, saving Lefiya from the Heartless, and even outside of combat like Miach with his financial situation. It is also for this reason that Hestia wants to avoid having him join parties outside their Familia, noting if they were in trouble he'd prioritize helping them out over keeping a low profile.
* CloseRangeCombatant: Bell has taken note of himself being this early on in the story due to struggling with enemies with a larger range and decided to compensate for this by adding throwing knives to his arsenal and practicing with them. Later Bell gains the Firebolt spell which enhances his ability to fight from a distance. Some time after that it's shown though that he still struggles against those who primarily fight from a safe distance and can counteract ranged attacks like Firebolt.

* TheCorruption: As in canon, TheHeartless corrupt sentient and sapient beings by stealing their hearts away, increasing their numbers in the process. [[spoiler:Zanis is the first adventurer in Orario that gets turned into a Heartless on-screen.]]

** Sora went into the final battle with Xehanort with ''a lot'' of healing items. After that they still prove enough to stock up the Miach Familia's store with a few left over.

* CripplingOverspecialization: Discussed by Hestia and Bell, who note that one of Sora's skills makes all of his attacks incredibly effective against darkness based enemies, which only appear on some of the Upper Floors of the Dungeon, and are rather weak to begin with. On paper, this would make his usefulness rather limited... though considering his immense power, versatility and the appearance of the Heartless, this is a moot point.

* CurbStompBattle: This is generally what the result is when Sora fights against monsters from the Dungeon especially when he doesn't have to hold back. It's to the point where he has much more trouble with extracting magic stones and navigating through the Dungeon and questions if reaching the 50th Floor is really as impressive as Ganesha and Shakti make it seem after he did it in a week while looking relatively unscathed.
* CuttingTheKnot: Sora and Bell offer to help Miach and his Familia get out of debt by collecting several rare potion ingredients. Upon hearing that they simply need potions to ''sell'' rather than the ingredients themselves, Sora decides to simply give them ''most of his supply of healing items'', giving them a full stock of valuable goods and bypassing the need to go on any {{Fetch Quest}}s.
* DarkIsEvil: Sora and Bell discuss this after Bell gains the Firebolt spell and Sora contrasts it to Riku's Dark Firaga with Sora making it clear to Bell that DarkIsNotEvil and that it is entirely possible for LightIsNotGood to be the case.

* DefrostingIceQueen: A gender inverted and platonic example with Otto according to Midadol with it being rare for him to warm up to someone he just met like Sora to whom he was initially a bit suspicious and dismissive.
* DidntSeeThatComing: The Hestia Familia has a very well thought out plan to ensure Lili can leave the Soma Familia and/or they can have Zanis arrested. This gets derailed [[spoiler:when he unveils the ability to summon and (partially) control Heartless.]]

** After Lili [[spoiler:comes clean about her need to rack up enough valis to pay her wait out of her abusive Familia]], Sora decides to go to the Deeper Floors of the Dungeon to get enough high level monster drops to quickly build up funds. While he's strong enough to accomplish this, [[spoiler:afterwards Ganesha points out that a (supposedly) low level adventurer handing over a pile of drops from incredibly powerful monsters would draw exactly the kind of attention he was trying to avoid. Thankfully the god himself comes up with a workaround, narrowly averting this trope.]]

** Sora failed to consider the Goliath respawning though he does end up taking advantage of the situation to help Bell become stronger.
* DivinePunishment: According to Hestia [[DangerousForbiddenTechnique Sora's use of the Power of Waking]] would technically warrant this for violating the laws of life and death if it wasn't for the fact that he did it in another world with the price he paid for it being relatively light to her astonishment.

* DramaPreservingHandicap: Seeing as how Sora retains his full power from the end of ''[[VideoGame/KingdomHeartsIII III]]'', he is far above pretty much anything found in the world of ''Literature/IsItWrongToTryToPickUpGirlsInADungeon''. However Hestia notes that the sheer power and scope of his WrongContextMagic would draw the attention of ''everyone'' (especially [[JerkassGods nefarious gods]]) and risk all sorts of complications arising for both him and the rest of the Hestia Familia. As such, he makes sure to limit his abilities as much as possible when in the presence of any other locals, especially magic.
* TheDreaded: [[EldritchAbomination The Heartless]] for their ability to corrupt and turn others into Heartless and consume entire worlds in the process. Hephaestus considers them more dangerous than any monster from the world of [=DanMachi=] including the One-Eyed Black Dragon once she gets informed about them.

** Bell's Irrégulier knives forged by Welf can absorb fire to amplify and unleash it then due to the material from the Heartless Infant Dragon.

* ForcedSleep: Sora can use magic for this which he uses on multiple occasions to prevent or stop conflicts.

** Apparently, the Loki Familia encountered a mysterious boy wearing strange clothes on the 50th floor, [[spoiler: who is later revealed to be Neku Sakuraba from "Franchise/TheWorldEndsWithYou"]].

* ForgotAboutHisPowers: Downplayed, but in his fight with [[spoiler:the Mammon Heartless]], Sora only remembers partway through that he can switch between Keylades on the fly. Justified since he's become accustomed to making minimal use of his abilities, and it's been a while since he could go all out.
* FriendOnTheForce: The Ganesha Familia acts as the enforcers of the law in Orario and Shakti's status as its Captain and the bond she's developed with Sora make her this for him.

** Sora's ability to carry the sheer amount of items on him at all times is a result of his pockets having built-in BagOfHolding. Merlin also enchanted this to suspend time inside, explaining how he carries all the food he makes in ''[[VideoGame/KingdomHeartsIII III]]''. He is shown to be able to just take a cooking pot fresh off the oven and stuff it into his pocket.
** Tsubaki observes that Sora's Keyblade appears to have the ability to deflect magic in the battle against the Infernal Engine which is why he can bat away fireballs which aren't physical enough for such a feat to be possible under ordinary circumstances.

** It's explained that the Dream Heartbinder only allows for one Dream Eater at a time to be summoned with Sora only being able to momentarily summon other Dream Eaters with Meow Wow.

** The lowest tier of Sora's Gravity magic is enough to push Ais who is a Level 6 to the limit and compensate enough for Ais' difficulties in holding back to allow Bell to properly spar against her and it is also aided by Sora's fine control of gravity to the point of being able to use it to walk up walls with Sora having only needed a single spar to properly gauge Ais' strength before applying his Gravity magic on her. The Gravity magic proves effective enough to become a regular feature of the training.
** [[spoiler:The Heartless Venenthes displayed Gravity magic which it used to drag Sora down a large distance into an underground cave and to keep its distance from Sora]].
* GunsAkimbo: Sora uses a Formchange that is this against the Mammon Heartless to rain fire magic bullets on it due to fire proving to be super effective. Later in the fight he switches to a Formchange that is a {{BFG}} instead.
* HarmlessFreezing: This is how Sora punishes Hermes for remorselessly trying to peek on bathing women. He makes a {{Pun}} about it too. For good measure he hung a wooden board around his neck explaining what he got caught for which causes Asfi to leave him like that for a while once she finds him.
* HealingFactor: [[spoiler:The Heartless Venenthes was able to quickly regenerate its tentacles against Sora]].

* HeroWorshipper: After hearing Sora's recounting of how he saved the worlds several times over, Bell quickly grows to admire him greatly, considering him a real life version of the various heroes he read about in stories. Notably, the level of his admiration is sufficient to push his Liaris Freese skill to the same length as his love for Ais in canon.

** Shadows happen to look similar to War Shadows which are monsters of the Dungeon with the similarities being even bigger with the Neo Shadow Heartless though they are still very different creatures which only have being aligned with darkness in common.

* ImplausibleDeniability: Sora denies having used two spells after the fight against the Demon Wall when Tsubaki asks him about it despite the fact that he used both [[HealingHands Curaga]] and [[AntiDebuff Esuna]] in front of her with her having the impression that [[MakingASplash Waterga]] comes from Sora's weapon.
* ImprobableWeaponUser: Lampshaded by Bell when Sora uses the Storm Flag Formchange to beat him around in a spar. In addition to that people comment or think on multiple occasions on Sora's weapons looking strange though that usually has more to do with appearance than any doubts for the functionality even if the latter issue does come up.

* {{Invisibility}}: Sora can apply this to someone using the Vanish spell in addition to it also erasing one's presence [[spoiler:which he ends up using on Hestia as part of a ploy against Zanis. Later after Lili suggests it due to her suspicions he also uses it to listen to the conversation between Hermes and Finn.]]

** Once Tsubaki witnesses Sora's Keyblade in action and she doesn't get any further with figuring out how it is forged by questioning him she becomes determined to find Sora's blacksmith when the truth is that the Keyblade is a weapon tied to Sora's heart with various different forms accessed through Keychains with Sora himself being the closest available equivalent to a blacksmith who creates and maintains his various weapons. It doesn't help her situation that she agreed to not question Sora about his weapons any further in exchange for materials from a Heartless they defeated together with Shakti.

** Welf thinking that Sora has a high Level is this if you consider that Sora is not only a Level 1 but a Level 1 who has hardly gained any Excelia with Hestia thinking that it is a surprise Sora got any points for his stats at all due to his already pre-existing strength.
** Welf who is the one smith who doesn't want to forge magic swords despite his lineage ends up in the same party as Sora whose easy access to materials for powerful magic swords that no one had ever heard of before means that pretty much any other smith would want to team up with Sora. The end result is a very envious Tsubaki.
* ItAmusedMe: This is Midadol's reason for forging weapons despite already being an engineer aside from not wasting materials which is a surprisingly mundane reason for Sora who is used to having to deal with a certain someone with a ComplexityAddiction and his incarnations.

* LeParkour: Flowmotion has heavy elements of this and has been noted to be something that would perfectly suit Bell's fighting style. After a conversation regarding this between Bell and Sora after Bell sees Sora using it with Sora speculating that it might be possible for Bell to gain it as a skill or magic Sora started training Bell in this particular skill by using an abandoned district as a training course and having Bell dodge blasts of Sora's water magic in order make him as agile as Flowmotion.
* LesserOfTwoEvils: While the way the Gods' greed for people for their Familias would cause them to hunt Sora down if they knew what he was really capable of reminds Sora of Xehanort he ultimately considers them to be this since they aren't seeking something like to destroy or recreate the world and instead simply want to be entertained and gain fame and glory for their Familias.
* LightningBruiser: Against the general expectations the people of Orario have of Level 1 newcomers Sora repeatedly proves himself to be this.

* LifeDrain: Bell's Ushiwakamaru has this as an ability thanks to Welf forging it using the Heartless Minotaur's horn.

** The Ganesha Familia has been informed of things like the processes leading to the birth of Heartless, what they do to their victims and how Sora is important for eliminating them to the point of directly helping with fighting against and looking out for them but they are ignorant regarding the wider context involving entire worlds and Sora's background. Shakti quickly catches onto Sora keeping secrets but is assured once she ascertains his character.

** Hephaestus is kept unaware of Sora's capabilities and background and the circumstances surrounding the for her unknown materials he is capable of procuring as well as the full scope of what the construction of the Gummiship entails much to her frustration until she demands the details in order to help better and ends up regretting asking.
** Tsubaki is kept in the dark regarding the details of Sora's weapon despite Hephaestus knowing about them with her only becoming partially aware of its properties after seeing its performance in the Dungeon.

** The gods in general are this once they find out that adventurers are going missing without a trace due to not knowing about the Heartless and what they do to their victims.
** Due to Welf being new to the party they decide to first test his trustworthiness and make a non-disclosure agreement with him and even after he encounters a Heartless Infant Dragon hybrid and meets Sora they only share a few details with him.

** The Takemikazuchi Familia learns a bit about the Heartless and the importance of Sora handling them but they are still unaware about the cooperation between the Hestia and Ganesha Familias regarding this issue.

** This is what Hestia is going for by keeping the truth about Link to All and Liaris Freese to herself since the LivingLieDetector ability of the Gods isn't going to tell them what is going on if Bell and Sora genuinely believe what they say.
** Curaga can heal injuries but unconsciousness that arises as a result of a Mind Down is not an injury which means Sora needs to wait a while until Bell wakes up when he suffers from a Mind Down after the fight with the Heartless Minotaur hybrid. It also doesn't remove objects lodged in a wound which meant that Chigusa needed to have the weapon embedded in her upper back pulled out before she could be healed which caused some pain.

* LoopholeAbuse: Tsubaki hopes that being on good terms with Sora could potentially result in him introducing his blacksmith to her which would allow her to circumvent the condition of not being able to ask Sora about his weapons.

* LyingByOmission: Bell does that to Hestia when he says that he is curious to meet a mermaid and adds how they are rarely encountered while not mentioning how mermaids are described as beautiful creatures and how he got a good look at Ariel's beauty through the Gummiphone. Hestia doesn't press the issue but isn't convinced.
* MagicIsAMonsterMagnet: The Keyblade has this effect on Heartless though since Sora can handle himself in a fight against them it primarily makes his job easier and takes the brunt of the threat from those who are nearby away.

** Hestia's appraisal of Sora's skills includes one called 'Guardian of Light', which makes all his attacks super effective against Darkness based enemies, explaining why he has such an easy time against Heartless. When battling a War Shadow, explicitly the strongest Shadow monster in the Dungeon, it proves enough for him to defeat in ''one punch'', with barely any effort to boot.

* MasterSwordsman: Sora is able to match Ais blow for blow to the point where she mentally admits to struggling with landing a hit on him. After a second spar he's analyzed and understood her style to the point of being able to give her advice. Against [[spoiler:Ottar Sora's swordmanship proves enough to slowly break Ottar's Perfect Defense down]].

** Bell's Alias Skyward Seeker has The Cloud Chaser as a hidden meaning which is enough for Hestia to consider it a case of AtrociousAlias unlike Bell and Sora who don't know about that. Sora makes a contrast with the Seekers of Darkness with him stating that Bell is seeking the sky itself instead of darkness. Bell's HeroWorship towards Sora makes that quite appropriate since Sora's name means sky.

* MortonsFork: This is what the situation would be if Sora managed to find the door to the heart of [=DanMachi=]'s world with the Heartless around. If he opens the door, the Heartless can enter and consume the heart behind it which he can't allow but without opening the door he can't get the Gummi Blocks which he needs for the Gummi Ship that he needs in order to return home.
* MultiMeleeMaster: Through the use of his Keychains and Formchanges Sora can proficiently use and switch between different weapons in a fight which he does against [[spoiler:Ottar and]] Mammon.

* NormalFishInATinyPond: [[spoiler:[=DanMachi=]'s canon states that level 5 adventurers like Shakti and level 7 Ottar are among the most powerful fighters in Orario, but most of them pale in comparison to the major heroes and villains of the Kingdom Hearts universe. In a confrontation between Sora against Ottar who was standing in his way and challenging him, Sora defeated him without much effort when he stopped containing his true strength]].
* NotQuiteFlight: Sora was tempted to glide during the Monsterphilia in order to more easily search for Syr but doesn't to avoid catching the attention of others.
* ObliviousGuiltSlinging: Riveria mentioning Sora having to give up what she and the Loki Familia believe to be a valuable magic shield during the Monsterphilia for helping the Loki Familia makes Sora feel guilty since the truth is that he didn't actually have to give it up and can access it whenever he wants which means that the Loki Familia is getting worried over a sacrifice that Sora didn't actually make and he can't correct the misunderstanding without destroying the cover for his powers that he needs to keep secret.

** This is averted with the Behemoth which is a name for both a monster from the Three Great Quests and a type of Heartless.

* OnlySaneWoman: Hestia finds herself forced to play this role between Sora's gung ho attitude and Bell's HeroWorship towards the Keyblade wielder causing him to follow his lead, having to repeatedly remind the two they're meant to be keeping a low profile. After joining the Hestia Familia Lili begins to feel the same way.

** Apparently, the Loki Familia encountered a mysterious boy wearing strange clothes on the 50th floor, who is implied to be a Keyblade wielder.
