YMMV / One Piece – Impel Down Arc

• Ensemble Dark Horse: This arc made Mr 2 into a big fan favourite, owing both to his friendship with Luffy and his overall character arc.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Similar to what happened with Pell back in the Alabasta arc, some readers believe Oda held back on going all the way with Mr 2's Heroic Sacrifice that allowed Luffy's group to escape from Impel Down as it turned out that he was alive and well afterwards.
• Unexpected Character: No one saw the return of the Baroque Works agents, especially that Mr 2 would end up being Luffy's main ally in the arc.
