Welcome.

Zombo.com is a website that allows you to do anything. You may want to go use it now before you continue reading this page.

Go on!

It's a spoof of tacky Flash preloaders during the early age of the internet (though the site has since been updated to HTML5). The website offers nothing except its promise that you can do anything at Zombo.com, and - in the original Flash version, if you waited to the very end of the animation - a broken newsletter signup link.

Since, as the website states, the infinite is possible at Zombo.com, it would be impossible to list every trope exhibited by this website (unless the website lets you do that as well), but we may as well list a few.

See also Obmoz.com.

This site provides examples of:

  • Beyond the Impossible: Anything is possible at Zombo.com. The speaker reiterates this several times.
  • Blatant Lies: Are you sure it's anything more than some flashy circles?
  • Captain Obvious: This is Zombo.com. Welcome to Zombo.com!
  • Department of Redundancy Department: Almost every spoken sentence either welcomes the viewer to Zombo.com or describes how great it is.
  • The Elevator from Ipanema: The background audio during most of the animation is cheesy elevator music.
  • Fake Interactivity: Go on, try to "do anything".
  • A God Is You: The only limit is yourself.
  • Ice-Cream Koan: This description of the site on its (now barely functional) parent website, 15footstick.com.
Zombocom is a portal without a door. There is no opening or closing at Zombocom. There is only the passing of seasons. It is another ring in the tree. It is not only the birds but all of life that moves from winter to spring.
  • Large Ham: The speaker gradually gets hammier throughout the welcome clip. "The infinite is possible, at Zombo.com! The unattainable is UNKNOWN at Zombo.com!"
  • Loads and Loads of Loading: Parodied. Notice how long it takes just to load a broken newsletter signup!
  • Magic from Technology: A website that lets you do anything conceivable would need some magic involved.
  • Overly Long Gag: Part of the joke is that you expect it to stop "loading" at some point.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: If you sit through the whole animation, it reveals a signup link to "The NewZletter"... which the website then informs you is not working right now.
  • Small Name, Big Ego: As it says, it's a website that lets you do anything you can dream of. Also a website that's nothing but flashy rotating circles and cheesy elevator music.
  • Unreliable Narrator: He's awfully excited about what he can't actually deliver.
