WesternAnimation Thundercats Roar... my god, why?
To be perfectly honest, I wasn't a big fan of the old Thundercats. I thought it was pretty good, but not much else. Now I'm just wishing they brought back the original.
My biggest problem with Roar is Lion-O. I hate Roar!Lion-O with every fibre of my being. He's annoying, ruins everything, and overall is just a self-absorbed, moronic asshole. And, I get it. A character having negative traits doesn't automatically make them bad, but Lion-O's really pushing with that statement. Sad thing is that he's the only character I remember, because everyone else is just really forgettable.
Let's look at Driller, the first episode I've seen. Lion-O crushes Panthro's self confidence, sends the team's base into ruins, and acts like nothing's wrong. The only reason he even got involved in the main plot is because his stuff could get destroyed by the titular Driller.
The animation is... meh. The characters don't really look remotely cat-like apart from the designs. Even looking at them as characters who aren't cat-like, the character designs range from forgettable (Snarf) to ugly (Panthro, Cheetara), and the backgrounds range from actually kinda good to forgettable to basically nonexistent.
I get some people would like the more comedic tone, but it's hardly comedic at all. Most of the jokes don't land anyway. The characters are introduced with trading cards and their home planet is destroyed in a joke. No thanks.
Point is, Thundercats Roar is not a great show. I don't really see it getting much better in the future, and the Teen Titans Go/Thundercats Roar crossover causes me physical pain. The ending was literally the original Lion-O saying that Roar was a worthy successor. Glad you gave yourself a pat on the back there, Warner Brothers. Don't watch.

WesternAnimation Welp... this was pretty awful.
Let's just make one thing clear before I start this review: I don't like the original Thundercats, I felt mostly frustrated watching the 1985 version and I'm all for a parody/abridged series.
So, I came into this show expecting to like it. I mean, it was mocking the original, I had to like it, right? Yeah, there's only one problem: This show is not funny.
The main thing about this show is that a bunch of random, stupid shit happens every 3 seconds... that's it, that's the only joke you'll ever see in this entire show. Jokes are supposed to have a punchline, they're supposed to be unexpected. So it's pretty much impossible to laugh, because you're expecting for something random to happen the next second.
The animation and the character designs are butt-ugly, even more so than the likes of Teen Titans Go. I know a lot of people like to defend this hideous type of animation because "Oh, but cartoons in the 80's all looked the same, too!" And yeah, that would be a valid point... if cartoons in the 80's looked ugly.
Cartoons in the 80's used to be rotoscoped and, despite all characters being modeled to fit toylines, still had a sense of anatomy and consistency. Yeah, they all looked the same, but at the very least, they looked good. Is terrible-looking animation like this supposed to be praised just because it's trendy, or because the original was following a trend too? This is an eye-sore, even for modern cartoon standards.
You could argue that I'm just a grumpy old man and this thing was made for kids, but... not even the kids liked this thing, so... Yeah, this is total garbage. Spare yourself from this travesty.
