The keyboard controls are weird and uninintuitive (which normally wouldn't be a problem except that you can't change them), there are typos and visual glitches all over the place (and sometimes, on minimizing the screen, you'll get an INCREDIBLY LOUD continuous audio glitch that renders the game unplayable unless you mute it), no fixed aspect ratio (so the game will get all stretchy if you resize it wrong), bad collision detection caused by a lack of grid, random slowdowns that also leave the game unplayable unless you restart, glitches that send you back to the room entrance, and levels where the game drops you outside of the walkable area with no way to get back. Oh yeah, and hitting esc will instantly end the game, so don't accidentally do that to close a menu. (You will.) It's a clusterfuck of Game Breaking Bugs, essentially. And all on top of Flat Characters and bad dialogue.
And this is just the stuff I've noticed in the first two hours. Shame, cause it has great art and some good music, and would be fun if it was less infuriating to play. Hopefully the upcoming remake will fix that... If they ever finish it. It's been vaporware for over a year now. But they've already started working on another game.
