After the first episode, this anime turns into another moe moe kyun slice of life anime about teenage girls who sound like squeak toys acting like complete idiots and overreacting to petty things. Seriously! Hardly anything of importance goes on, the characters are pretty much moe stereotypes personified (even the TEACHER is moe!! What?! And what high school kids play hide and seek? No high schoolers I know in real life behave the way they do!), they all sound like they're voiced by squeak toys, the jokes got old fast, the humor was bland, the drama was artificial and forced, Aya is the worst character in the entire show (all she does is blush and jump to conclusions about everything! That's all!), and even though the art style and the music are nice, it's not enough to stop this from devolving into the most boring piece of fluff I've ever seen.
This show would have been very good if it took itself seriously, focused more on cultural differences, chucked the moe stereotypes away, and actually had a story to tell. This is just a boring piece of fluff, nothing more. For moe fans, it's okay (if your ears can actually stand their stupidly squeaky voices). Otherwise, watch something that's more worth your time.
Manga Starts off nice...then devolves into a Cliché Storm
Don't you just hate it when a show looks like it's going to be good, then devolves into the biggest Cliché Storm you've ever seen?
I really wanted to like this show. I really did. The first episode was so nice and so endearing. I really thought it'd be a nice little slice of life anime about celebrating cultural differences between England and Japan, similar to how Ikoku Meiro no Croisée was. But I was wrong.

And seriously, this show takes saccharine to a whole new level.
