It has often been said that Night Watch is Terry Pratchett's opus. And, for a while, this was definitely true.
But it is no more.
I Shall Wear Midnight is Sir Terry's greatest book. I say this with no intention of hyperbole. It features a return of old characters, the introduction of new ones...and it is all woven together, into a web of pure beauty.
This book is dark. Many would say that it shouldn't be a 'young adult' novel. They might be right. But it should be read by all who are capable- because it is sheer brilliance.
This book is Sir Terry's sign to the world-
"I ATE'NT DEAD."
