There's a cliche storm, then there's Grave Encounters 2.
The story droned on and on for what felt like hours with minuscule payoff. There was only one poorly-executed jumpscare to barely disrupt the monotony. Even the comically bad slasher film the main characters were working on felt like to a segway to something much better you could be watching.
When they finally got to the "scary" bits, it was about as terrifying as an infant bunny. You feel no fear for the main characters because they're flat at best and unsympathetic idiots at worst. The CGI was awful from the word "go", and it seemed to only get worse as the movie continues.
The ending was disappointing, unrealistic, and plain stupid.
Like the Wicker Man remake, this fails as a horror movie... But is excellent as a comedy.
