Sins of the Father depicts the center-stars of Death Note in its second season, Mello and Near, like you haven't seen them before. The story is told from the point of view of a rather underdeveloped character, Roger, the man in charge of Wammy, Watari's, infamous orphanage. In the story, Roger, Mello, and Near are developed and in character throughout. Both stories are fantastic coming-of-age stories and highlights of the Death Note fanfiction community, but sadly, both stories are incredibly underrated. These stories stand out from typical fanfiction, and in the end, you will cry for these characters, laugh with these characters, and come to love these characters.
